Privacy
Short version: no cookies, no tracking scripts, no accounts, no forms, no ads. We want to know as little about you as possible.
What this site does not do
- It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- It runs no JavaScript, analytics tags, tracking pixels or third-party widgets.
- It has no accounts, logins, forms or comments.
- It tells other websites nothing about you: links to other sites are sent with no referrer, so they can't see that you came from here.
What our hosting providers see
Like every website, ours is delivered by servers that have to receive your request to answer it. The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which processes standard request details (your IP address, the page or file you asked for, the time, and your browser's user agent) to deliver the site, keep it running and defend it against attacks. Cloudflare runs our domain's DNS: it answers the lookup for our address, but your requests for pages and files go straight to Azure. If we ever have to route traffic through Cloudflare to fend off an attack, it processes the same request details while that lasts. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.
We may look at aggregated traffic figures they provide, such as how many times a list was downloaded. We do not use this to identify anyone, and we never sell or share it.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. Our addresses on watchmanhq.com are forwarded to a mailbox we control. We use your message only to reply and to act on it (for example, to remove a false positive), we keep it only as long as that takes, and we will delete it on request. Please don't send us passwords, personal data about other people, or confidential files.
Donations
If we set up a way to support the project, payments will be handled by the payment provider named on the Support page. We would receive the name, email address and amount the provider passes on, and never your card or bank details.
Children
This site is meant for adults responsible for running organizations, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
